AIRPORT DIVAČA – ICAO CODE: LJDI

Airport Divača was built in 1916-1917 for needs of Austro-Hungarian air force and has been used for flights on the Isonzo Front during the First World War. After the First World War, airport fell under Italian rule and it was used until the capitulation of Italy in 1942 by the Italian army. After the Second World War, the airport began to deteriorate, but the Yugoslav Army used it as a training ground. In the mid eighties of the last century, the airport was active again as a sport airfield. Currently the airport has two 800-meter runways, three hangars for storage of aircraft, control tower, office space and all necessary infrastructures for flight operations.  Airport development is also supported and supervised by the municipality Divača.
